Perfect View was inspired by a day at Caves Beach, looking along the shoreline as the waves rolled across the rock platform below. I was drawn to the contrast between the rugged coastline and the clear blue water, and the way the light moved across the sand and cliffs.
There’s something special about standing above the beach and taking it all in - the sweep of the coastline, the changing colours of the ocean, and the feeling of space that stretches out to the horizon. This painting is my attempt to capture that moment and share a little of the beauty that makes this part of the coast so memorable.
